Our Policies

  • Sick and injured animals requiring constant overnight care may be sent to Animal Emergency Critical Care Associates at The Life Centre (TLC) in Leesburg, or another 24-hr care facility.
  • In order for animals to be admitted to our hospital, the following is required:
    • Animals must be current on all vaccinations
      • Dogs: DHLPP-C, Bordetella and Rabies
      • Cats: FVRCP, FeLV/FIV Test and Rabies
    • Animals must be current on annual de-worming
    • Dogs over five months will need to be current on heartworm preventative
    • Cats will need to be up to date with an Felv/Fiv Test
  • We only accept for boarding spayed or neutered animals unless the animal is less than 6 months of age
  • Animals will only be admitted or discharged during posted hospital hours.
  • Animals will need to be picked up within three days of scheduled discharge or other arrangements will need to be arranged with our hospital.
  • There will be a 16% interest charge on all unpaid balances. In addition, if payment is not made and collection services are rendered, the owner will be responsible for all and any associated collection fees, court fees, bank fees, attorney fees, returned check fees, postage and such, plus the original invoice amount, which will include all service charges and handling fees.
  • At least 24 hours notice must be given for any cancelled appointment or owner may incur a missed appointment fee.
  • Appointments arriving more than 30 minutes late will not be seen and may incur a missed appointment fee.
  • All dogs must be kept on leashes and all cats must be in a carrier at all times while on hospital property.

Who's Talking About Aldie Vet?

I moved into South Riding about 2 years ago.  For over the first year, I still drove 30 mins to my old vet, but it was very inconvenient... especially because I'm at the vet's office very often.  Reason being is that I show and breed dogs and their weight is very important... either to maintain or to monitor growth.  I decided to give Aldie a shot and I went with one of their newer vets Dr. Pattie because she embraced a similar philosophy that I do with respect to preventatives and treatment.  She also balances Eastern and Western medicine... which I have taken advantage of as I currently have one of my dogs receiving accupuncture....Read More
