Meet Our Hospital Mascot

Melvin joined our team in December 2000. He was a kitty in need of a home. Melvin is unique; he is not afraid of dogs, making him a perfect in-hospital pet. Melvin's main responsibility is to ensure the entire staff gives him plenty of attention. In addition, he is required to entertain the staff and monitor the lunch breaks. He mainly does this by "meowing" for staff to get out of his favorite chair in the break room, so he can gaze out the window. Nap time is an essential part of Melvin's daily routine. This can either take place on his favorite chair or on a warm lap. If you would like to request and meet and greet with Melvin, please ask one of our staff and they will gladly oblige!
DECEMBER 17,2009 On Monday November 30th, Melvin passed away due to a long battle with a heart condition. He made quite an impact on each and every one of the lives he was a part of, and because of this he will be truly missed. |
