New Pet Visit

How do you choose your vet? Do you look at services offered, hospital location, or strictly cost? As with human doctors, veterinarians and hospitals are very different from one another; it is often difficult to compare. Often less cost correlates to unperformed services, which can affect your pet’s health and actually cost you more in the long run due to misdiagnosis and untreated medical conditions.

At Aldie Veterinary Hospital, your pet’s health is our most important priority. At the same time, we fully understand that each individual’s situation is different when it comes to the financial obligation of their pet. In order to balance the two, we wish to partner with our clients to determine the best choices in maintaining their pet’s health. Our pet services team will discuss various treatment plans, estimates, and desired outcomes we wish to achieve with each option. We want you, our client, to leave our hospital feeling more informed and satisfied with the decisions you have made in maintaining your pet’s health.

We strive to provide a five-star experience for you, your pet, and our team. Please plan to allow plenty of time for your initial or sick pet visit. If diagnostics are needed, the appointment may take longer. Since our doctors have access to innovative health management technologies, we are usually able to determine comprehensive treatment plans for your pet, as well as the associated costs during your visit.

We wish to accomodate busy schedules, therefore we offer the option to leave your pet in our care while our veterinarians are assessing the best treatment plan for your pet’s condition. If you choose this option, please let our staff know when you arrive for your appointment or emergency. Additionally, if your pet has a complex case, we may recommend admission to our hospital for further examination, observations, and test results.

In order to achieve the highest level of client satisfaction, an understanding of our approach is needed. Providing the most comprehensive care for your pet involves a team, which includes our veterinarians, veterinary staff, your pet and you.

During your appointment, our veterinarian will:

• Assess – your pet by providing a comprehensive physical exam;
• Engage – in conversation with you about your pets history, symptoms and lifestyle;
• Discuss – findings and thoughts regarding your pet’s medical condition;
• Recommend – veterinary services needed to help maintain or improve your pet’s health;
• Listen – to your thoughts regarding the recommended services and answer questions;
• Collaborate – with open & honest communication regarding your pet. This allows us to identify a treatment plan that benefits your pet but works with your lifestyle;
• Take Action – by providing the veterinary services you have authorized.

Our team approach to your pet’s care is vital to providing the services your pet requires, and to achieve a high level of client satisfaction.

For your convenience, we accept most forms of payment: Cash, Checks, Credit Cards (Major Forms), and Care Credit. If you have your pet is a member of a health insurance plan, payment is expected at the time of service. We will provide you with the documents you may need to receive reimbursement.
